Shelter Move
New Facility

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton (WRS) has moved its wildlife care shelter to Spruce Grove as of August 13th, 2010. We have partnered with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and will be leasing a 53 acre property from them which has 16 acres of farmland which we are able to develop on.

Our new shelter location is in a beautiful area of Spruce Grove and we are excited to move there. Not only do we have a lot more space for the patients, but we are still very close to the city of Edmonton where a lot of our patients come from.

We now accept wildlife drop-offs at our new location. Please continue to call us on our hotline at (780) 914-4118 before bringing us an animal(s) so we know to expect you.

We are no longer accepting wildlife at our previous shelter at the U of A Ellerslie Research Station (127 Street and Ellerslie Road) so please either bring them to our new shelter in Spruce Grove or you can take them to a participating vet clinic.

Due to our resources we are unable to send staff to collect injured and orphaned wildlife, however, these vet clinics are able to take wildlife in and hold them for us until we are able to send a volunteer pick-up driver to collect them. If you have questions about dropping an animal off at a vet clinic please do not hesitate to call our hotline at 780-914-4118.
